When our group first started outlining our goals, it became clear that we all wanted to try to identify talented students as early on as possible as we collectively believe that is how we can contribute the most good for their respective futures.
“To those who much has been given, much is expected in return.”
It is this basic core philosophy that inspired our group of old BC friends to come together and find a way to give back and demonstrate some level of formal appreciation for what we have all been given along our journeys.
Our Mission
The primary goal of The 5A5B Foundation is to provide students from underprivileged families the opportunity to receive a quality Jesuit education in the same way that we did.
And with that, The 5A5B Foundation was born with a fundamental guiding principal behind it – let’s try to help those in need who may not be as fortunate as the close group of friends who all shared the same roof in Mods 5A and 5B our senior year at Boston College.
This led us to reach out to Christo Rey, a “Network compiled of 38 Jesuit high schools that delivers a career focused, college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources, uniquely integrating rigorous academic curricula with four years of professional work experience and support to and through college”.
We intend to raise a Scholarship Fund that will enable Christo Rey to provide a high-quality Jesuit education to students who show the potential but would otherwise lack the means for such an education. We plan to hold live events in our respective cities as well as continually reach out to friends, family and alumni who we believe would be interested in the cause our Foundation is working to support.

About Us
We are a group of close friends and former roommates who graduated from Boston College. We believe in the importance of giving back. Our positive experience at Boston College motivates us to pay it forward to those who have the motivation but may not realize their potential because of life’s circumstances. We want to do our part to help provide a similar experience for students who may not see the path toward college. We believe we can significantly impact their future.
We hope the 5A5B Foundation provides a support network for their difficult journey. If we can influence another person’s life trajectory by providing them with quality education, our Foundation will be a success.
